EUSAF 2026 Policy Recommendations are now available.

Following the third edition of the European Universities Student Ambassador Forum (EUSAF), the EUSAF 2026 Policy Recommendations are now available.

Held in Warsaw from 3 to 5 July 2026 as part of the EUC Voices project, EUSAF 2026 brought together 53 Student Ambassadors representing 53 European University Alliances for three days of collaboration, dialogue and exchange. The Forum provided a dedicated space for Student Ambassadors to share experiences, exchange good practices and explore ways to strengthen student engagement across the European Universities Initiative.

Through interactive workshops, discussions and co-creation activities, participants reflected on the challenges and opportunities facing students within European University Alliances. The process continued after the Forum through a dedicated online exchange, allowing participants to further develop and refine their proposals.

The resulting EUSAF 2026 Policy Recommendations focus on four key areas:

  • Governance and Student Engagement
  • Alliance Awareness and Impact
  • Building European and Student Identity
  • Communication and Knowledge Transfer Gaps

The recommendations call for stronger and more meaningful student participation in the governance of European University Alliances, recognising student involvement as an essential part of inclusive and participatory higher education. They are designed to be adaptable to different institutional contexts and provide practical proposals for Higher Education Institutions and stakeholders working within European Universities.

At the heart of EUSAF is the belief that students should not only be consulted about the future of European higher education, but actively contribute to shaping it. By bringing together Student Ambassadors from across Europe, the Forum supports knowledge-sharing, strengthens connections between student communities and empowers students to take an active role within their Alliances.

The 2026 recommendations build on the first two editions of EUSAF and reflect the evolving experiences and needs of students involved in European University Alliance governance. They offer a shared perspective and concrete proposals for making student engagement more meaningful, structured and sustainable.
